In a cool matchup at MetLife Stadium, the New York Jets lost their 10th game of the 2018 NFL season, falling to the Houston Texans 29 - 22.

In the principal a large portion of the Jets resistance couldn't stop the Texans offense as the Texans scored on every one of their initial four drives. The Texans overwhelmed a significant part of the main half activity, yet they neglected to pull away. The two things that shielded the Jets from getting smothered early were the Texans' powerlessness to score touchdowns and Sam Darnold's perfectly built touchdown drive to close the half.

In the second from last quarter the Jets barrier ruled, constraining three straight Texans three and outs as the Jets pass surge made life hopeless for Deshaun Watson. Sam Darnold drove another touchdown drive to bring the Jets inside one point at 16 - 15 as Jason Myers missed his second additional purpose of the amusement.

The Texans opened the final quarter with a long field goal drive. At that point the Jets replied with one more perfectly executed long touchdown drive, topped by a two yard touchdown kept running by Elijah McGuire, giving the Jets their first lead of the diversion at 22-19.

Tragically the Jets couldn't hold the lead. Deshaun Watson drove the Texans down the field in an orderly drive that finished in a DeAndre Hopkins touchdown with a little more than 2 minutes to play. The Texans took a 26 - 22 lead, with Jason Myers two missed additional field goals a potential threat, the distinction between requiring a touchdown and requiring a field goal to win.

The Jets went four and out on the following belonging and the game was everything except over. The Texans took over somewhere down in Jets an area and continued to kick a field objective for a 29 - 22 lead. The Jets got this show on the road the ball back with not exactly a moment to go yet were unfit to drive the length of the field for a diversion tying touchdown. In this manner was a valiant exertion by Sam Darnold squandered in one more Jets misfortune.

With the misfortune the Jets record goes to 4-10, as they head into the last two weeks of the 2018 season.
